Passenger arrested on Wizz Air flight from Poland to Luton after ‘trying to open a plane door mid-flight’

A WIZZ AIR passenger has been arrested at Luton Airport after he allegedly tried to open a plane's emergency door mid-flight.
Police were called to reports of a "disruptive passenger" on a Wizz Air flight from Poland just before 11pm last night.
He was restrained by crew on board the flight, Bedfordshire Police confirmed.
Officers said the man was arrested on suspicion of endangering an aircraft when the plane landed at the airport in Bedforshire.
He taken to hospital where he was treated for "minor injuries".
A Wizz Air spokesperson said: “On Wizz Air flight W6 1005 from Katowice to London Luton on 22 July a passenger is reported to become unruly and abusive.

"The crew on duty followed standard procedures to ensure the continued safe operation of the flight. Upon landing, the passenger was handed over to the respective authorities.
"Safety and security are the top priorities of the airline and there is zero tolerance for abusive behavior towards our passengers and staff. This is now a matter for the police.”
A police spokesman confirmed he is currently in custody.
