GHOSTBUSTERS star Dan Aykroyd is threatening to sue a couple over their home-made chilli sauce.
Aykroyd, 65, says the design of the skull-shaped bottle is too similar to his own.
Lawyers for his £350-a-bottle Crystal Head Vodka are battling it out with UK-based Bloody Hell Hot Sauce.
They wrote to Bobby Powers, 51, and wife Rosie, 33, in Ryde, Isle of Wight, demanding they destroy all their stock of £12 chilli sauce.
The legal row blew up after Bobby approached the vodka’s makers Globefill to suggest a skull-themed Bloody Mary collaboration.
He said: “I can’t believe this big company is now trying to shut us down. So many products are sold in skull bottles. Ours has nothing to do with their market.”
His solicitor Michael Coyle, said it is a “David and Goliath” battle.
He added: “I’m confident we can defend Bobby’s design and his small family business.”
Globefill, co-founded by Aykroyd in 2007, had sales of £42million in four years.
