Couple who were knocked unconscious trying to re-create Dirty Dancing move managed a successful second attempt on This Morning (with a little help)
Sharon Price and her fiance Andy have finally pulled off the move - and it was worth the wait
A COUPLE who tried and desperately failed to pull off the iconic Dirty Dancing lift have finally done it live on TV - but needed a little bit of help.
Sharon Price and her fiance Andy were left unconscious after they attempted the famous lift.
The loved-up pair had been in a pub with family members when they thought it would be a laugh if they tried to practice the dance.
If they were successful, they thought they may try it on their wedding day.
But things appeared to go disastrously wrong when they collided, with 51-year-old Andy knocked out cold.
Sharon, 52, was also bruised and both were rushed to a nearby hospital after relatives realised they weren't joking.
Sharon and Andy were both pictured sprawled out on the floor surrounded by their friends and family.
After their story went viral yesterday, the pair were invited onto This Morning to try out the move.
And it went down without a hiccup, only this time the couple were assisted by two members of the This Morning team.
A crash mat was also in place, just in case anything went awry.
Following their initial attempt, paramedics loaded Andy into an ambulance after cutting off his t-shirt, and switched on the blue lights as they rushed him to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.
Sharon said doctors at the hospital laughed when she told them how the accident happened.
The couple, who have been together for 18 months, met while working at Seetru Engineering in Bristol.
Andy got down on one knee after Christmas Day lunch last year and popped the question.
The couple, who are both grandparents, are due to tie the knot next year.
