Terror accused Taha Hussain ‘filmed himself driving past Brit barracks the day after Paris carnage’
The 21-year-old is said to have praised IS to a pal as they drove past the Coldstream Guards base in Windsor, Berks
A RADICALISED man filmed himself outside an Army barracks the night after the 2015 Paris massacre, a court has heard.
Taha Hussain, 21, is said to have praised IS to a pal as they drove past the Coldstream Guards base in Windsor, Berks.
The Old Bailey heard that he later posted a number of video clips online backing jihad.
On the night after the attack in Paris, Hussain and at least one other man allegedly filmed themselves six times driving past the Victoria Barracks in Windsor, which is home to the Coldstream Guards.
The occupants of the car can be heard listening to Islamic chants and discussing their support for IS.
Later the same night, Hussain sent a WhatsApp message to a friend, claiming to give a ‘Muslim perspective’ to the Paris atrocity.
Hussain is also accused of posting YouTube videos and audio files on subjects including the Charlie Hebdo killings and bombings in Britain and the US.
In July 2015, Hussain sent a WhatsApp message titled ‘Lions of the UK’, promoting jihad, the court was told.
Another file sent in October of the same year was said to glorify IS fighters.
Prosecutor Mark Paltenghi said: "In essence, it is alleged that when all this material was sent, it was done with the intention that it would be understood by its recipients as a direct or indirect encouragement to the commission, instigation or preparation of acts of terrorism."
