The Prime Minister entered office on July 13, 2016 - exactly one year ago today

IT may seem like a decade - but today marks exactly one year since Theresa May took over from David Cameron as PM.

In 12 short months, she has gone from being Thatcher mark two to a bruised and feeble figure.

She took power vowing to guide Britain through Brexit and relaunch the Tories as the party of social justice.

But it all went wrong when she called a General Election to shore up her power and crush Labour, with polls suggesting she would win a landslide.

Instead, Mrs May lost her majority altogether.

This forced her to rely on the support of the DUP and stopping her from appointing allies to the Cabinet.

Here, The Sun takes a look back at the tumultuous year in pictures.
