Dad on nephew’s Benidorm stag do gets a tattoo of Where’s Wally with his willy out on his bum and admits ‘I got it because I’m an idiot’
Neil Ogden got the tattoo while on a Spanish weekend away in June with groom-to-be Zak Williams and 19 other lads
A DAD celebrated his nephew's stag weekend in Benidorm by getting a tattoo of Where's Wally's willy on his bum - but later admitted he only got it because he's an "idiot".
Insisting he wasn't inspired by anything other than his own imagination, Neil Ogden went on the weekend away in June with groom-to-be Zak Williams and 19 other lads when he decided to get inked.
Neil, 47, had already decided what tattoo he wanted when he was still at home in Glossop, Derbys, and took a picture with him to show the tattooist at Inkaholics in Benidorm.
When he came home he claims Helen, his wife of 24 years, wasn't surprised and found it funny, as did his two adult sons.
Neil, a window-fitting business director, said: "The reason I got this tattoo is because I'm an idiot.
"There's no meaning in it and I don't have an explanation for it.
"I was the one who asked for Wally to have no pants on because I thought it would be funny.
"When I arrived in Benidorm I already had the picture on my phone – I definitely don't regret it.
"When I got home I showed it to my wife but obviously he was just peeping out from the top of my shorts.
"But when she saw the whole thing she thought it was funny, she's not bothered in the slightest.
Neil also has two other tattoos – one of his wife's nickname Lucy on his shoulder and another with a mechanical design on his arm.
Helen was surprisingly unfazed by her husband's latest body art, but claims she won't be getting one matching any time soon.
Helen, 46, said: "I was a bit shocked because he only showed me the top half of Wally's body first then said 'right, are you ready for the rest?'
"I didn't know anything about the tattoo at all until he came home with it.
"I just said 'oh right, okay'. I won't be getting one matching though.
"I just looked at him and shook my head. I thought it was a joke at first – it was quite funny."
Contrary to popular belief that Benidorm is the home of ill-advised tattoos for drunken tourists, Blane Dickinson, co-owner of Inkaholics, confirmed Neil was 'sober as a judge' when inked.
Blane, 43, said: "It was a very funny tattoo. Definitely up there in the best three of this season.
"In Benidorm we get some wild and crazy ideas but the Where's Wally one is one of the funniest we've seen this year.
"Originally when he came in to book it on the Friday it was a normal Where's Wally.
"Then he turned up on the Sunday and said 'I want you to do it like this with no pants on.'
"He was sober as a judge and just did it for a laugh."
