US President took to Twitter to slam Chinese government for increasing deals with rogue state

US PRESIDENT Donald Trump took a swipe China on Twitter yesterday - blasting the country for boosting trade with North Korea despite its nuclear tests.

His comments suggested the US is preparing to take a tougher approach with the rogue regime in a bid to tackle the problem.

World leaders are growing increasingly concerned about the country’s provocative missile tests, but the US president had hoped China would be able to rein-in its controversial neighbour.

But he appeared frustrated yesterday as he tweeted: “Trade between China and North Korea grew almost 40 per cent in the first quarter. So much for China working with us - but we had to give it a try!”

North Korea sparked international fury this week by conducting missile tests that dictator Kim Jong-un claimed could reach the American state of Alaska.

Last night the dictator crowed about the “gift” package that he sent the “American bastards” on their Independence Day, according to North Korean media.
