Lee Rigby’s mum pays tribute to murdered Fusilier as widow lays flowers and balloons at his grave on what would be his 30th birthday
MURDERED Lee Rigby's mum said she misses him "every hour of every day" as his widow lay flowers at his grave on what would be his 30th birthday.
Widow Rebecca Rigby shared a touching picture of his grave covered with balloons and flowers yesterday as she paid tribute to the Fusilier.
Alongside the picture, she tweeted: "We hope your [sic] celebrating in style up there.
"Happy 30th Lee! Forever loved and missed."
His mum Lyn also shared an emotional tribute expressing how "proud" she is of her only son, who was killed in 2013.
Through the Lee Rigby Foundation Facebook page, Lyn said: “He was the most gorgeous baby, adorable toddler, cutest little boy, turning into a terror teenager before becoming a man and a soldier in the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. My heart still bursts with pride at every minute of his life.
“My flesh and blood and my adored and only son.
“Nothing takes away the grief of losing him or the horror of how he lost his life but I truly believe he guides me in everything I am doing.
“Thank you, Lee, for all the lessons you have left me. To look after others before yourself. And thank you, Lee, for making me the happiest woman ever for having you as a son for 25 years.”
The family has been inundated with offers of help to finish Lee Rigby Lodge, which will provide a retreat for service families and veterans.
Lee was butchered by sick fanatics outside Woolwich Barracks in South East London four years ago.

He was returning to Woolwich barracks after working at the Tower when he was spotted by his killers in Wellington Street at around 2.20pm on March 22, and attacked.
Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale had circled the barracks in a blue Vauxhall Tigra for an hour hunting for a victim.
As Lee crossed the road, the pair spotted his Help 4 Heroes hoodie and mowed him down in the car.
After the terror attacks in recent months in the UK his mum called on everyone to "stand together against terrorism" and said her "heart goes out" to all the families affected.
She said today's events had taken her "back to how we felt as a family as events unfolded via the media in front of our eyes."
