A WOMAN who cops say was killed by her abusive ex-boyfriend predicted her own death on Facebook five months before she was savagely throttled into a coma.

Stella Martinez, 39, died on June 23 from brain damage she received after being attacked three weeks before in Las Vegas.

In January she called him a sociopath, said she wished she had never met him and accused him of ruining her life.

She also predicted he would try to murder her.

She wrote on his Facebook page: "Although I have no doubt (you’re) still going to try to kill me but you will never find me."

Martinez also accused cops of taking his side during a previous violent encounter between the couple.

In one incident North Las Vegas officers arrested Martinez, not Wood, on a domestic violence charge which led to a conviction.

After overcoming her drug problem, Martinez worked with other addicts at Narcotics Anonymous.

Her friend Rachael Chesin said: "Stella had a heart for people who struggled.

The victim's sister-in-law Jessica Avras added: "Stella wanted to save him (Wood). She wanted to save the world."

Wood is facing charges of attempted burglary, attempted murder, battery  and domestic violence by strangulation.

In 2014 he pleaded guilty to a charge of attempted battery resulting in substantial bodily harm and spent a year in prison. He attacked his ex-wife with his truck at her home, according to police documents.
