Man fighting for his life after being ‘stabbed in brutal machete attack’ near Glasgow car park

A MAN is fighting for his life after being 'stabbed with a machete' in brutal car park attack.
Witnesses described the victim as "in a bad way" and reported seeing "trails of blood" on the floor in Q-Park, Glasgow after last night's incident.
The man was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in a serious condition.
An onlooker said: “There’s a trail of blood in the ground floor parking area.
“The police have sealed-off an area inside the car park, where a Transit van and a blue Mini are parked.
“I was told the guy had been stabbed and was in a bad way.”

The car park is yards from restaurants and pubs, and officials warned it could remain closed for hours while detectives launch an investigation.
Motorists were left stranded last night - unable to get in and out of the car park - while police investigations were carried out.
A car park attendant asked customers not to swamp an emergency contact number with unnecessary calls, as drivers desperately tried to be reunited with their cars.
One motorist, who did not want to be named, said: “I use this car park all the time and I’m pretty shocked.
“You do see junkies around, but I’ve not seen anything like this before.
“It could be that it started on the street and he’s ended up inside, but no-one really knows.
“There’s CCTV inside the building, so maybe the police will get something from that.”
Police refused to give any details despite worries from motorists who were asked to write down their details on a piece of paper in the car park foyer to aid detectives.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances."
