Dad’s harrowing 911 call as he desperately tries to save his nine-year-old daughter after accidentally shooting her in front of her twin brothers while teaching them about gun safety

A DAD is heard begging for help after accidentally shooting his own daughter in the head while trying to teach his kids about gun safety in this harrowing 911 recording.

, he is heard to say: "I had my gun, and I pulled the trigger and I didn't realise there was a bullet in there and I shot my daughter.

"Oh god, oh my god no, oh my god."

He asks if he should do CPR and the operator asks him if he wants to try it.

Hummel said: "Should I press on her chest? She's got blood everywhere man."

The 33-year-old pointed the gun at her and pulled the trigger because he thought it was empty

After he sends the twins downstairs to wait for the ambulance, he says: "What the f*** just happened.

"Please don't go. Oh my god, please don't go."

Hummel told cops he showed the gun to the boys and told them "not to ever play with it because it can kill someone."

Hummel then pointed it at his daughter and pulled the trigger, "thinking it was empty," according to court records.

Yesterday he was charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in death, battery resulting in death to a person less than 14 years old, reckless homicide and two counts of neglect of a dependent.

He pleaded not guilty and will appear in court on August 24.
