Judy Malinowski, from Ohio, suffered horrific fourth and fifth-degree burns to 80% of her body
A MUM-OF-TWO left with horrendous burns after her 'soulless' boyfriend doused her in petrol and set her alight has died - two years after the sickening attack.
Judy Malinowski suffered horrific fourth and fifth-degree burns to 80 pre cent of her body losing two fingers, both ears and her hair after Michael Slager committed his unforgivable crime.
The 41-year-old monster was sentenced to the maximum possible term of 11 years in December last year on aggravated arson, felonious assault and possession of criminal tools charges.
Judy, 33, from the US state of Ohio, was forced to endure a life of pain, surgery and mental trauma after the August 2015 attack.
Her mother Bonnie Bowes said: "That child suffered for two years to tell her own story, who has the strength to do it?"
Evil Slager, who claimed he accidentally set his lover alight while lighting a cigarette in Gahanna, Ohio, will now face murder charges.
Prosecutor Ron O'Brien said: "It would be our intention, and it has been all along, that should she pass away it was our intention to pursue a homicide charge.
"This day was not unexpected for probably a long time, but it's sad that it finally arrived."
