A DEVOTED son visiting his mum in Grenfell Tower plunged to his death from the burning building, the first inquests into the tragedy heard yesterday.

Brief inquests into the first five named victims were heard at Westminster Coroner’s Court.
Coroners officer Stephen Hamilton told the court: “The circumstances are that a catastrophic fire took hold of Grenfell Tower and Mr Ibrahim was visiting his mother at the time.
“He was seen by emergency services coming from the building and landed near to the foot of the building.”

Mr Ibrahim was pronounced dead at the scene and an initial post-mortem said he died of multiple injuries.
The court heard identification were done by fingerprints and visually by his cousin.
Dr Wilcox was told four of the other victims died from smoke inhalation after the tower caught fire in the early hours of June 14.
Omar Belkadi, 32, lived with his wife Farah Hamdan, 31, and children in flat 175 of the tower.
His body was found in the tower on June 15 by firefighters and he was pronounced dead at the scene and eventually identified by dental records.
His wife was also pronounced dead at the scene from “inhalation of fire fumes”.
Khadija Khalloufi, 52, originally from Morocco, lived in flat 143 of the tower and was found unresponsive on June 14 by fire fighters near her home address.
Her provisional cause of death was given “as inhalation of fire fumes” and she was identified by her fingerprints.
The fifth victim was named as grandfather and retired lorry driver Anthony Disson, 65, born in Hammersmith, who lived in flat 194 of the tower.
He was found by firefighters on June 14 and pronounced dead at the scene. A preliminary post-mortem gave the cause of death as inhalation of fire fumes.
So far the number of dead is 79, but it is feared the final total will be much higher, with police and firefighters continuing to work at the scene of the burnt out tower block.
