Jeremy Corbyn spotted relaxing in North London cafe with his wife Laura Alvarez hours after surprise general election gains – but who’s he phoning?

JEREMY Corbyn has been pictured celebrating his surprise election gains with wife Laura Alvarez in a North London cafe.

The Labour leader kept it low key as he revelled in Theresa May's Conservative party losing 12 seats, leading to a hung parliament.

He was enjoying a hot drink at Girasole, an Italian on Seven Sisters Road in the capital.

Corbyn was chatting away on the phone while his wife smiled - seemingly also delighted at the election result.

"We see him quite often as he lives around the corner and as per usual, there was a bit of fanfare.

"It took some time to get a clear shot because of the crowds and when we exited the cafe there was a crowd plus TV cameras.
