A HERO Borough Market bouncer who took on three crazed jihadis has been left paranoid after the London Bridge terror attack and said he feels guilty he couldn't save more.

Ozzie Gandaa, a 33-year-old doorman who works at the Wheatsheaf pub in Borough Market, led a brave charge against the maniacs, despite fearing they were wearing suicide bomb vests, after seeing them repeatedly knifing a woman.

Returning to the area four days after the horrific attack he told Good Morning Britain: “It’s hard being round here, thinking if there’s anything I could have done better, anything I could have done to help more people.”

On Saturday night depraved monsters Youssef Zaghba, Rachid Redouane and Khuram Shazad Butt caused carnage in London Bridge when they ploughed into pedestrians before ditching their rented van and rampaging through Borough Market.

Eight people were killed after the terror trio butchered revellers in pubs and restaurants in a brutal knife attack.

Ozzie returned to the area on Tuesday as Borough High Street opened to the public - the popular market, where the killers were cut down in a hail of gunfire by armed police, remains closed.

He explained how difficult the journey had been telling the ITV show: "[It was] hard enough just getting on the train, just getting up there, I felt very paranoid. I had to have one of my colleagues with me so I actually felt a little bit safer, so I felt I was able to do it.

"Going back to the area itself brought back a lot of memories and made me think ‘I made it out’ when other people didn’t make it out.

“It made me feel like a little bit of a different person now. I’m a strong person, I rarely run from things, it’s not in my nature to do it - it’s changed the way I kind of feel.

"I feel very paranoid going back to the place… I know it’s not going to happen again. And the likelihood of it happening again in my lifetime again is more or less impossible, but in the back of my head it’s ‘is it going to happen again? Am I safe? Are my staff going to be safe? Are the people that I’m going to be working with going to be safe?’”

Ozzie began throwing anything he could find at the terrorists when they launched a knife attack on the Borough Market pub stabbing one of his colleagues.

He said: “One of my friends, one of the bar staff, she was stabbed and I just thought I couldn’t live with myself if she didn’t make it back, if I didn’t do more. So I didn’t know if she was alive or dead but I thought I need to go back so I could sleep at night.

"The fact that I’ve done those actions, she was able to go home. I wouldn’t want her family turning around and saying it’s because of you my daughter’s not alive, I couldn’t live with myself personally as a man I couldn’t do that.”

As Ozzie tried to ward off all three of the sicked jihadis armed police arrived and took them out in a hail of gunfire.

The bouncer added: "It was hard but at the same time, I know it sounds bad, I don’t want anyone to die, but it was a relief because I didn’t know when it was going to stop."

The bouncer was one of many everyday heroes who took on the terrorists and saved lives on Saturday.
