Theresa May will stand up for Britain during Brexit and lead our country to a bright future
SO that’s it. The squabbling is done. The campaign is over today as voters head to polling stations.
You may have made your mind up — and you may not want to hear another word from another politician.
But in case you have the faintest whiff of doubt I want to offer one final thought about the quality we most need from our Prime Minister.
It’s not just about economic competence, or managing our debts, or keeping taxes down — though frankly Theresa May and the Tories are miles ahead on that score.
It’s about who is really prepared to stick up for this country when the chips are down.

It’s about which of the two — Theresa May or Jeremy Corbyn — is really WILLING TO STAND UP FOR BRITAIN.
We are on the brink of a historic adventure for our country.
We are leaving the EU — taking back control of our immigration system, of our laws and of billions of our cash.
We can shape a new destiny as a truly global Britain, trading ever more enthusiastically not just with Europe but the whole world.
We want a superb new free trade deal that works for both sides of the Channel. We want a new deep and special partnership with the EU.
But talks will be gruelling. Our continental friends can be ruthless in negotiation — and they are notoriously greedy for our money.
We will need a PM who is willing and able to face them down, to be tough to get the right deal.
Theresa May has those qualities. She has the clarity and logic and resolve to bring the talks to a successful conclusion.
Does anyone seriously think that Jeremy Corbyn is the man to send to Brussels to fight for UK interests?
With the SNP and the Lib Dems squawking in his ear like a pair of parrots? And both of them chirping the line from Brussels?
Do you really think he is ready or willing to stand up for Britain?
Just look at his record. Over the last 35 years Jeremy Corbyn has chosen unhesitatingly to take the side of our adversaries.
I sometimes feel that a kind of mushy minded amnesia has overwhelmed us. We are in danger of forgetting the true horror of the causes Corbyn has espoused.
The IRA literally wanted to destroy this country - to bomb and kill their way to a united Ireland.
Corbyn cosied up to them.
Soviet communism was a tyranny that killed millions and kept Eastern Europe in servitude. For decades we had Warsaw Pact nukes trained on this country.
Corbyn sucked up to Moscow - campaigning relentlessly against the NATO alliance that kept Europe safe and kept the Russians out.
He has recently tabled a parliamentary motion calling for the rehabilitation of Leon Trotsky - and John McDonnell openly boasts of being a Marxist!
And he isn’t just soft on commies. He’s soft on fascists too.
The Argentinian junta were murderers and torturers who in 1982 launched an unprovoked attack on a sovereign UK territory.
Corbyn thought we should just hand the Falklands over, and that Margaret Thatcher was wrong to fight.
Time and again he has been wrong. Time and again he has been weak.
Today we face a very different but in some ways more insidious threat to our way of life - the nauseating ideology of the Islamist jihadis.
Theresa May is determined to solve the problem: to defeat them in cyberspace, to lengthen their jail sentences, to kick them out of this country.
The whole country has had a bellyful of the cunning lefty lawyers who use “human rights” as an excuse to stop us cracking down on these would-be killers.
Which was why Theresa May was right to announce that where necessary the law would be changed - to protect the public.
Would Corbyn do the same? Of course not. He doesn’t really represent the Labour Party but the old London loony left that have practically captured it.
Britain’s allies would be appalled to think of this man - with John McDonnell and Diane Abbott (ill or not) in charge of one of the world's great powers.
It must not happen.
We are an amazing country with a fantastic future.
If things go on as they are Britain in 30 years will be the most powerful economy in Europe.
Let’s back ourselves and believe in our potential and vote for Theresa May, the only one of the two who can be relied on to STAND UP FOR BRITAIN.
