Dramatic moment London Bridge attack cops gun down knife-wielding terrorists seconds after drinker is brutally stabbed in Borough Market
THIS is the moment the three vile London Bridge attackers were shot dead by heroic armed police officers, bringing their horrific rampage to an end.
The dramatic video - which has emerged this evening on social media - begins showing a pedestrian walking through Borough Market on Saturday night during the terror attack.
He is then set upon by the three cowardly attackers, who begin stabbing him.
However moments after they begin their attack on the man, armed cops arrive at the scene.
When the evil knifemen realise that officers have arrived, they charge towards the cops.
But they are shot to the ground within six seconds of officers getting the first one in their sights.
After neutralising one of the suspects, an officer can be seen approaching one on the floor and kicks him to ensure he is no longer a threat.
Cops appear to closely examine the bodies of the terrorists, who were wearing plastic items to make it look like they were wearing explosives.
The armed cops were on the scene and had killed the suspects within just eight minutes of being informed that an attack was underway in central London.
Islamic State claimed responsibility for the mass killing more than 24 hours after the atrocity through their affiliated news agency Amaq.
The attackers have been named as Pakistani-born Khuram Shazad Butt, 27, and Morrocan Rachid Redoune, 30.
The third attacker, also Morrocan born, was Youssef Zaghba.
Eight people have died and 48 others were injured.
The victims were taken to six hospitals around the capital.
Those who have lost their lives have been named as Xavier Thomas, 45, Alexandre Pigeard, 27, Kirsty Boden, 28, Christine Archibald, 30, James McMullan, 32 and Sebastien Belanger, 36.
Xavier Thomas was crossing the bridge with his partner Christine Delcros on Saturday night when he is feared to have been run down by the terror trio.
It’s thought that the 45-year-old Frenchman was thrown into the river during the terror attack.
French waiter Alexandre Pigeard was named as one of the victims by French media.
It is believed the 27-year-old from Colleville-Montgomery, in Normandy, was a waiter at the Boro Bistro by the River Thames.
The Met Police confirmed that Australian Kirsty Boden was one of the victims.
In a statement, her family said she was the “most outgoing, kind and generous person who loved to help people”.
Christine Archibald was the first victim to be named.
The three terrorists lie dead on the floor
Her devastated family confirmed she died in her husband-to-be arms after she was hit by the terrorists van on London Bridge.
James McMullan, from Hackney, East London, was named as a victim by his grieving sister Melissa, who said: “Words will never be able to match his essence.”
And a French minister confirmed Sebastien Belanger died during the attack.
The 36-year-old chef had reportedly been living in London for seven years.
HOW THERESA MAY RESPONDED TO TERROR ATTACK
The Prime Minister gave a statement outside 10 Downing Street following the attack.
She called on Britain’s allies to help “regulate cyber space” and confirmed the latest terror attacks in London and Manchester are NOT linked.
Mrs May said terrorism “cannot be defeated through military intervention alone” as she condemned the “evil” ideology behind the recent atrocities.
The Tory leader said a “new trend in the threat we face” has emerged and called for four “important” changes.
“This is the third terrorist attack Britain has experienced in three months.
“In March a similar attack to place just around the corner on Westminster Bridge.
“Two weeks ago Manchester Arena was attacked by a suicide bomber and now London has been struck once more.
“At the same time security and intelligence agencies have disrupted five credible plots since the Westminster attack in March.
“In terms of the planning and execution the recent attacks are not connected but we believe we are experiencing a new trend in the threat we face.
“As terrorism breeds terrorism and perpetrators are inspired to attack – not only on the basis of carefully constructed plots after years of planning and training and not even as lone attackers radicalised online – but by copying one another and using the crudest of means of attack.”
