Haunting image shows French chef Sebastien Belanger posing for a selfie with London Bridge and The Shard behind him before being killed in terror attack
A HAUNTING image has emerged showing the French chef killed in Saturday's terror attack posing with London Bridge in the background.
Sebastien Belanger, 36, was one of eight people killed in the van and stabbing rampage four days ago.
Friends had desperately appealed for information for chef who was reported missing in the aftermath of the attack.
He had reportedly been living in London for seven years.
A French minister today confirmed Sebastien is the second French national to be confirmed dead in the aftermath of the terror attack.
Sebastien's girlfriend shared a photograph of the pair kissing, simply writing "my love".
The chef had been with friends when the terrorists ploughed across London Bridge outside the Boro Bistro on Saturday night.
Devastated friends had shared missing posters for him, asking for any information - but were left heartbroken by the news.
One friend shared a tribute to victim, writing: "RIP Sebastien Belanger!
"I cant believe you just taken away from us like this... with all your plans soon of traveling the world, now you're just travelling straight to heaven!
"Its been such a rollercoaster ride working with you; we push, we shout, we argue, at the end we hug and thats why i did respect you big time as a chef!
"Learnt soooo much from you....you left us big wound in our hearts Seb! Gone but never forgotten".
The Frenchman's family had travelled to London in the desperate search for him.
In a statement, Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister of Foreign Affairs, wrote: "It was with great sadness that I learned that one of the French, formerly missing, has been identified among the deceased and I offer my condolences to the family of our compatriot."
Sebastien is the second French national to be confirmed dead, with Alexandre Pigeard, 27, from Colleville-Montgomery, in Normandy, slashed in the throat by the terrorists as they rampaged through the market.
He had been working as a waiter near Borough Market when he was attacked.
Police now fear that Frenchman Xavier Thomas, 45, was thrown into the river in the aftermath of the attack.
The man had been crossing the bridge with his partner Christine Delcros on Saturday night when he is feared to have been run down by the terror trio.
French authorities confirmed two French people had been killed in the attack, with eight wounded.
Other victims named in the aftermath of the attack include Australian Sara Zelenak, with the 21-year-old remembered as a "positive, popular" young woman.
