Teacher suspended over ‘sultry’ Facebook selfies quits after row with bosses, despite pupils calling for her to be reinstated
Lydia Ferguson resigned from her post after battling for two months to keep her job revealing she 'doesn't want the stress anymore'
A TEACHER suspended over posting sexy selfies on Facebook has quit telling The Sun: “I couldn’t go back.”
Lydia Ferguson had a heated row with senior staff over the snaps of her in low-cut tops and showing off her legs.
Pupils rallied around her calling for her to be reinstated after she was escorted out.
But the mum-of-three, 39, said after battling for two months she had to resign.
She said: “After it all blew up I knew I couldn’t go back to the school.
“I’m no longer employed there.
“I just don’t want the stress of it anymore, my family have been through enough of it.
“It’s taken up quite a lot of my life which has been quite hard.”

Lydia worked at the Ousedale secondary, Newport Pagnell, Bucks as a full-time ‘learning mentor’ helping children with behavioural problems for four years.
Her support role at the mixed secondary school was her first job in teaching.
The Sun told in March how schoolkids said they overheard her getting a dressing down and filmed the eight minute row on their mobiles.
A students’ petition called “Get Miss Ferguson Back” got more than 250 signatures.
It accused the 2,000-pupil mixed school of being too prudish.
The main photo showed her revealing her legs, others on her profile showed her cleavage.
One youngster said: “There is nothing wrong with the photos at all.
“We think Miss looks lovely.”
Another added: “She is a brilliant teacher.
“She is there to help students who have problems like bullying and stuff.
“She does so much to help us and we’re so upset she’s been suspended.
“Not a single person thinks there is anything inappropriate about it.”
A third pupil said: “All it was showing was a bit of leg.”
After we told of her suspension, Lydia said: “I’ve always stuck to a rule on Facebook and Instagram that if my Grandad, bless his heart, would look at any of my pictures in disgust, I would never post them.”
“I’m not worried about my pictures, but it seems some people are.”
A school spokesman said: “We confirm that Lydia Ferguson is no longer employed as a member of the support staff and the school has nothing further to add.”
