Pal of London Bridge terrorist says he reported jihadi TWO YEARS AGO – but his tip was ignored

A PAL of one of the London Bridge terror attackers says he reported him two years ago but his tip was ignored.

He spoke to the BBC to say he phoned the anti-terrorist hotline over concerns but says "absolutely nothing" was done.

A few years later the same man went on to wage a horrific attack in London which left seven people dead and 48 injured.

He told the BBC: "Two years ago we spoke about a particular attack that happened and like most radicals he had a justification for anything, for everything and anything.

"And so that day I realised that I needed to contact the authorities.

"I phoned the anti-terrorist hotline, I spoke to the gentleman, told him why and how, I told him about our conversation and how and why I think he'd been radicalised, and basically you know just doing my bit.

"Nothing, absolutely nothing. They didn't get back to me, nor was he arrested or you know, just picked up for any kind of questioning.

"He was thrown out of a mosque, maybe over a year and a half ago, his local mosque, because of his radical views."

One of the group who targeted the heart of London on Saturday night - the ex-KFC and London Tube worker, known as Abz - was quizzed by cops over his twisted views before he was gunned down along with his two accomplices down following the depraved assault.

It is now known if Abz was also the same person the man who spoke with the BBC alerted authorities to.

Abz also previously  and was also thrown out of his mosque for ranting about an election.

• ISIS has claimed responsibility after a van ploughed through pedestrians on London Bridge just after 10pm on Saturday
• Three jihadists wearing fake bomb vests began knifing bystanders and pub-goers
• Staff at one pub barricaded the doors as the attackers tried to storm the building before the three terrorists were shot dead
• At least seven victims were killed and 48 people were injured with 18 still critical
• Four cops including British Transport Police officer among those injured
• The first victim was named as Canadian national Christine Archibald, a charity worker from British Columbia
• Theresa May has confirmed the terror threat level will remain at 'severe' and said all three attackers have been identified
• Cops raid block of flats in Barking, East London, reportedly home to one of the attackers, and arrest 12 as well as sealing off East Ham flat
