Who were the London Bridge terrorists? Khuram Shazad Butt, Youssef Zaghba and Rachid Redouane who were all shot dead
DETECTIVES revealed the identities of the three terrorists who brought horror to London Bridge in the aftermath of the attack.
The twisted trio murdered eight people after mowing down revellers in London before going on a stabbing rampage wearing fake bomb vests and wielding 12-inch knives.
Who were the London Bridge attackers?
In the aftermath of the attack, the perpetrators were identified as Khuram Shazad Butt, 27, Rachid Redoune, 30 and Youssef Zaghba, 23.
The ringleader, Ex-KFC and London Tube worker Butt, was quizzed by cops over his twisted views before the atrocity.
Known as Abz, Butt was pictured lying dead wearing an Arsenal strip after cops gunned him and his two sick sidekicks down following the depraved assault.
The man who went on to wage a horrific attack on people at London Bridge had previously appeared in a programme called .
Following the events at London Bridge, Butt's former sparring partner has branded him a "skinny guy" who was "weak" in the boxing ring.
Abdullah Mohamed said: "He was a skinny guy, really quite weak. His punches wouldn’t hurt at all.
"He used to refuse to hit me in the face saying it was because of his religion."
Redouane was a Moroccan pastry chef who married a Scottish woman and had lived in Ireland.
The final man, Zaghba, was Moroccan-Italian.
An eight-week inquiry into the deaths of the victims began on May 7 at the Old Bailey, due to be followed by a separate hearing for the inquests of their killers in front of a jury.
Were the attackers known to police?
The Met Police said in a statement: "Khuram Shazad Butt was known to the police and MI5.
"However, there was no intelligence to suggest that this attack was being planned and the investigation had been prioritised accordingly."
The force also confirmed, Redouane, "was not known" to police.
An Italian website claimed Moroccan and "British authorities" were tipped off about Zaghba's movements after he was charged and later cleared on international terrorism charges and placed on a "persons at risk" list.
But a statement from the Met's Counter-Terrorism Command said he was "not a police or MI5 subject of interest".

After ploughing a white van into several pedestrians on London Bridge, the killers ran down a flight of stairs at the side of London Bridge towards Cafe Brood near Borough Market.
The terrorists “hesitated” then ran down the road and began to attack drinkers in the nearby Mudlark pub before entering Borough Market itself.
An eyewitness said it was not long before they had completed a loop of the market and came back to Cafe Brood before continuing onto the Black and Blue restaurant where they were finally gunned down by police.
After the attack police evacuated many of the survivors from Borough Market to Liverpool Street where they took witness statements and kept witnesses inside until Sunday morning.
A minute’s silence was observed in the UK on June 6 at 11 am to remember the victims.
