Moment armed cops swarm east London and aim their guns into flat – as one suspect scrambles over roof in dramatic raid
ARMED cops sealed off an East Ham road as they aimed their weapons up towards flats above high street shops.
The police were filmed shouting at people inside the building in the tense operation as one man tried to scramble over a roof in Barking Road, London earlier today.
Cops could be heard ordering: "Stand up, show us your hands." The property was then raided.
This follows arrests made throughout the day after a terrorist attack in the centre of London which left seven people dead and 48 people injured - although it is not clear if this is linked to the terror investigations.
Three men drove a van at pedestrians walking on London Bridge last night before running into bars and pubs in Borough Market in a horrific attack.
One Twitter user said of the raid in East Ham: "Avoid Barking Road high street North area. Police anti terror raid. Full on lock down."
Meanwhile, just over a mile away on Barking Road in East Ham there was heavy armed police presence but Scotland Yard was unable to say whether it was linked to the earlier arrests.
