London terror attack photographer who took dramatic pic of jihadists being gunned down relives moment he came within feet of knife maniacs
A PHOTOGRAPHER has relived the horrying moment he came within feet of the knife-wielding terrorist who slaughtered seven people and left 48 injured.
Gabriele Sciotto took the infamous image of one of the maniacs lying on the floor after he had been gunned down by armed cops.
He took the startling image after police fired at the men who had minutes previously mowed down pedestrians on London Bridge and stormed pubs and bars with large knives.
He said he ran towards the scene of chaos and saw the attackers shot by cops, with one on the ground wearing what appeared to be canisters strapped to his chest.
The vests turned out to be fakes, police have since confirmed.
Mr Sciotto told BBC News he saw the men being shot by police after they had rampaged through Borough Market.
He took a photograph of one of them lying on the floor - in it another suspect can be seen in the background.
