Timeline of how Ariana Grande’s fans’ joy turned to terror after cowardly killer caused carnage
MANCHESTER suicide bomber Salman Abedi unleashed terror after a £3.50 tram ride.
According to US intelligence he took the city’s Metrolink after travelling by train from London.
Abedi, 22, then mingled with fans streaming out of the Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena.
Many were heading for next-door Victoria Station to catch a train home or to meet parents who were waiting to collect them.
At around 10.30pm, after the US star finished her final number on stage and hundreds of pink balloons were released, he detonated his suicide belt packed with nuts, bolts and nails in the arena’s crowded foyer.
