JEREMY CORBYN wanted the killers in the IRA to win and beat Britain, DUP leader Arlene Foster stormed today.

The former Northern Ireland First Minister launched a scathing attack on the “abhorrent” Labour leader in a London speech.

She said it was shameful he couldn’t condemn the IRA as an organisation let alone condemn the terrorists for their bombs.

And she insisted the leftie had never reached out to unionists during the Troubles despite trying to defend his links with the IRA by saying he wanted a peace deal.

“There were many fine people who reached out to the IRA and asked them to desist,” Ms Foster said. “He actually supported them, he wanted them to win!”

She added: “He cannot condemn an organisation which was taking away fundamental human rights of British citizens and it’s abhorrent.

“He hasn’t condemned IRA for the violence they visited upon people in everyday lives, putting booby traps under police officer’s cars in the middle of the night, shooting people in the back of the head, putting bombs on school buses which I had to go through when I was 17 years of age. There will be no meeting of minds on this one.”

Speaking at a meeting organised by the Bruges Group think tank she said: "Over recent decades we had had both good and bad experience of Labour and Conservative administrations - this election is different.

“While Theresa May is well within the political mainstream and proven to be a solid and reliable unionist, Jeremy Corbyn is beyond the pale.

“It is hard to take seriously the proclaimed respect for democracy and constitutional rights of a man who was so close to the political representatives of the IRA at the height of the Troubles.

“And it is has hard to see much good coming for the Labour Party in the coming election except the replacement of their party leader.”
