In the picture the 21-year-old cradles her bump with one hand and holds a tiny pair of Timberland boots, similar to those Corrie, 23, wore on the night he disappeared, in the other.

The fitness instructor had been in a relationship with Corrie for about five months before he went missing on September 24 while on a night out with friends in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

Along with the photograph, April shared an emotional message to the couple's baby.

She said: “I struggle with finding the right words because sometimes when you have to be strong and out on a brave face you forget about the precious moments that pass by.

“Yesterday was an emotional but exciting day, and sometimes it only takes one person to help you see what you have.

“I miss and love Corrie with every part of my body and little things set off different emotions.

“I can't help but be truly unconditionally in love with my baby and you’re not here yet.

“You bring so much pain yet just as much joy and your daddy would be proud of you my little one and would love you as much as I do.

“Corrie will be a part of both of us forever and no one can take that away.

“Mummy loves you little baby.”

A huge manhunt was launched following Corrie's disappearance, but as of yet no sign of the RAF gunner has been found.

After it was revealed police had been misinformed about the weight of a refuse truck leaving the area he was last seen in, a huge search of a rubbish site commenced.

Officers have already combed through more than 3,000 tons of waste in 10 weeks and Corrie's dad Martin McKeague has said he's trying to come to terms with the fact his son may not be found.

Mr McKeague, who made his 11th visit to the landfill yesterday, said: "Maybe the hardest thing that Trisha and I are now trying to come to terms with, as we near the completion of the search effort within the extended parameters that have been set, is that despite the dedication and efforts of the Norfolk and Suffolk police forces there is a growing chance we may never actually find Corrie here."

Corrie's dad said he is sure that Corrie is at the landfill site and that police are searching in the right place, saying that alternative theories are not supported by evidence.

Corrie's mum last night told ITV News she was "falling apart" while waiting for news, adding that no decision could be made until the search was complete.

Suffolk Police have said their search of the site near Cambridge will last another week.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said: "Towards the edges of the area it has also been noticed that the waste may have naturally shifted from the place where it was originally deposited and the search has been extended into these areas which may still hold the answer to Corrie's disappearance.

"Throughout the search, officers have found material that have indicated they are in the right area - finding waste that was clearly identifiable as being from Bury St Edmunds, and within the right time frame."

Corrie, of Dunfermline, Fife, was last seen on CCTV at 3.20am entering a cul-de-sac loading bay area known as the Horseshoe.

It would not be possible to leave the area without being seen cameras but there was no sign of him, police said.

The following hunt has cost more than £1m – making it one of the most expensive missing person’s investigations undertaken by Suffolk and Norfolk police forces.
