TUPAC'S bodyguard claims the rapper brought about his own death by acting like an 'untouchable gangster' in the days leading up to his assassination.
Blood Piru gang member James McDonald - known as Mob James - revealed the controversial music legend ’s violent actions and behaviour turned him into a gangland target.
James said: “When Tupac had 30 cats behind him, when Tupac knew that can’t nobody hurt him because he’s got all these guys, Tupac changed.
“Tupac was spitting on people. Tupac was bumping into people. His attitude changed totally, and it’s what led to Tupac’s demise.
"If Tupac would’ve mind his business… He had the gangsters that was gonna take care of that anyway.
"If Tupac would’ve stood on the side and watched, and if Suge would’ve said, ‘No, you’re my money. You ain’t gonna get in no fight’, Tupac would be still alive right now and today.
"And this the only reason he died. He interfered in the something he had no power in.”
Tupac was eventually shot dead in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas at the age of 25. Police reports stated the star was hit multiple times and died on 13 September 1996.
He had been at the Mike Tyson vs Bruce Sheldon boxing match and had his own fight with gang member Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson.
A short while later, a car allegedly pulled up alongside his while he was standing with his head out of the sunroof and someone shot him multiple times.
Death Row Records bodyguard James claims Anderson pulled the trigger on Tupac.
“His name started coming cause he was taking credit for it," he said.
“He started tell people he did that. We decided, basically, it’s on. They just killed Tupac. This was my thing. Tupac was hanging with us.
"Everybody was looking at this as the mob let Tupac get killed. We couldn’t have that.”
Anderson later died in a shootout with gang members outside of Cigs Record Store in Compton, LA.
Biggie “Notorious B.I.G” Smalls was also allegedly shot dead in March 1997 with some claiming it was a revenge hit for Tupac's death.
Both of their murders remain a mystery today.
