According to reports, 92 Syrians were killed in the northern part of the country after government jets bombed the town of Khan Sheikhoun on April 4.

In the clip, innocent youngsters struggle to breath - some frothing at the mouth in the immediate aftermath of the gas attack.

Many victims can be seen lying motionless while others convulse as rescue workers desperately attempt to hose off the chemicals to stop their suffering.

Last month, several videos emerged showed civilians sprawled on the ground, some in convulsions, others lifeless.

The evidence prompted Donald Trump to strike back with a Tomahawk cruise missile assault – destroying one of Assad’s air bases.

The Syrian president denied launching these attacks claiming the chemical attack on his country is “100 per cent fabrication” as he accused the US of being “hand-in-glove” with terrorists.

In an exclusive interview with AFP, Assad said the atrocity was exaggerated to justify a US-led military strike.

He told the agency: “Definitely, 100 per cent for us, it’s fabrication… Our impression is that the West, mainly the United States, is hand-in-glove with the terrorists.

“They fabricated the whole story in order to have a pretext for the attack.”

A number of high-profile political figures have spoken out about the attack.

British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said "all the evidence" he had seen so far in the latest chemical weapons attack in Syria "suggests this was the Assad regime ... (that) did it in the full knowledge that they were using illegal weapons in a barbaric attack on their own people."

Theresa May, the British Prime Minster has also called for an investigation into the chemical attack.
