It is further indication that the PM is trying to seize core Labour voters alienated by Jeremy Corbyn.
A Tory insider said of the meeting: “It was two thinkers getting together over a cup of tea.”
The meeting signals Mrs May is plotting to steal further policies from Mr Miliband’s 2015 policy agenda.
Lord Glasman advised the Ed Miliband on how to reconnect the party with its traditional working class Labour voters.
Mrs May unveiled her pledge to cap energy bills – but faced criticism over its similarity to the former Labour leader’s policy to freeze bills.
But in a sign of the trouble ahead for Mrs May, one minister said there was “no appetite” for the Tories to shift to the centre-ground.
