Tory manifesto guru met up with Ed Miliband’s policy chief in bid to woo even more Labour voters
Theresa May's joint chief of staff Nick Timothy discussed 'polling and politics' with Labour peer Maurice Glasman
THE author of Theresa May’s election manifesto held talks with Ed Miliband’s ex-policy chief.
Joint chief of staff Nick Timothy discussed “polling and politics” with Labour peer Maurice Glasman, the Financial Times reported.
It is further indication that the PM is trying to seize core Labour voters alienated by Jeremy Corbyn.
A Tory insider said of the meeting: “It was two thinkers getting together over a cup of tea.”
The meeting signals Mrs May is plotting to steal further policies from Mr Miliband’s 2015 policy agenda.
