THIS is the shocking moment a police officer guarding a Royal lost control of his bike and flew over the handlebars.
The unnamed copper was part of a Royal escort squad heading past Waterloo Bridge in London when he flew off the bike at around lunchtime on Monday.
He skidded into the centre of the road while the rest of the escort, believed to be carrying an unnamed high-profile Royal in a blacked out 4x4, flew past.
He is not believed to have been seriously injured in the accident and did not require hospital treatment.
Onlooker Ian Jobe, 60, was enjoying a stroll on his lunch break and filmed the drama unfold on his phone.
The consultant, of London, said: “I saw it coming so thought I would video it and show the other half when I got home.
"Then as they all went through the first outrider, who was had cleared the way for them, tried to catch up.
“He over-revved and it all went wrong so he ended up going over the handle bars. The final vehicle pulled over and helped him but he got up by himself.
“We were all going to get out and help him but there were a few officers in the end vehicle and we all thought they probably knew more than us and had a first aid kit so we left to it them.”
The 36-second second clip shows the rider pulling over after clearing the way for three blacked out vehicle to fly past in central London.
