SNEERING Emily Thornberry has accused voters of being more concerned about Theresa May's hair than real policies.
In a stunning attack on the public, the top Corbyn supporter hit out at the ‘Presidential’ nature of the campaign.
And she snarled: “It is not good enough for people to simply say, I like Theresa May’s hair or I like that shade of blue - politics is not about that, politics is about how you change people's lives.”
The outburst about the PM’s hair prompted fury from the Tories who accused Mrs Thornberry of patronising the public.
Conservative candidate for Copeland Trudy Harrison hit back: “Once again Jeremy Corbyn’s Shadow Foreign Secretary is sneering at voters."
She added: “The election offers a clear choice, chaos from Corbyn and his patronising top team, or strong and stable leadership from Theresa May.”
It is not the first time the Shadow Foreign Secretary has been in hot water for talking down to the public.
She was forced to quit the Labour front bench in 2014 for sneering a White Van Man and flying the England flag.
But she has made a comeback under Jeremy Corbyn and is one of the hapless Labour chief’s toughest defenders .
In a desperate bid to make people listen to Labour’s hard left agenda, she told ITV’s Robert Peston: “It does not have to be like this - we are the alternative government”.
She claimed: “We will win this, if we win it, we will win it on the basis of our policies and the fact that we have been able to get over our message on the doorstep showing people that it does not need to be this way, there is no alternative vision that the Tories are offering."

But in a further gaffe, Mrs Thornberry was forced to confess she had no idea how much Labour’s proposed changes to the tax system would raise.
Explaining why the £80,000 threshold had been chosen, she acknowledged that "many people on £70,000 do not necessarily feel themselves to be rich, but the truth is average incomes are £26,000".
But asked for more details, she replied “I don’t know, you’ll have to ask John McDonnell”.
