Residents in the block face a noisy summer with the Magic Mouse attraction running from 11am to 7pm, and until 10pm on special occasions.

Mum-of-two Milly Stone, 27, complained to the council because the ride, at Dreamland in Kent seaside resort Margate, is just outside her kids’ bedroom window.

She told The Sun: “They didn’t even have the courtesy to knock on our door or send us a letter to let us know.

Sarah Hart, 37, mum to Charlie, four, and nine-month-old Oscar, said: 'We are practically on the ride'

“It went up in just two days right by the bedroom we have just finished decorating for my four-year-old boy Jamie and one-year-old girl Daisy.

“The council just told me to email Dreamland. To put it up without consulting anyone shows that all they care about is making money.”

Thrill-seekers will also ride past pregnant Sarah Hart’s balcony and living room in the housing association flats.

Sarah, 37, mum to Charlie, four, and nine-month-old Oscar, said: “We are practically on the ride.”

Dreamland dismissed the fears. A representative’s message to Sarah says it will monitor noise. It adds: “Our rides will not operate beyond 7pm for the majority of open days. There will be some exceptions but these will be in the minority.”

But a spokesman for the park said: “We have heard the residents’ concerns and are keen to work closely with them.” Thanet council said it would probe noise complaints.

Dreamland closed in 2003 with huge debts but reopened two years ago after an £18million investment from the government, the council and Lottery funding.

It has faced more cash woes and aims to lure visitors with late-night concerts when it reopens on May 26.

Indie rockers Maximo Park are lined up to play the opening weekend, with The Kills plus Carl Barat & The Jackals also scheduled.

Gorillaz will have their sold-out Demon Dayz festival there on June 10.
