Benidorm hen-do victim Kirsty Maxwell ‘was trying to jump into hotel pool when she plunged from 100ft balcony after spending 40 seconds in lads’ room’
BRIT Kirsty Maxwell was trying to jump in a pool when she plunged 100ft to her death from a Benidorm hotel balcony, it has been claimed.
The newlywed had accidentally walked into a lads’ room and spent 40 seconds wandering around “without speaking” before she jumped, a Brit arrested over the death plunge claimed.
Joseph Graham, 32, the Brit who was held over her death, claims the Scot hen-do reveller said nothing as she mistakenly walked into his suite and to the bathroom before making her way to the balcony, a police source told .
Mr Graham, who was staying with four other pals in the apartment, claimed "disoriented" Kirsty climbed over the hotel balcony "deliberately" and "jumped towards the swimming pool because she misjudged the height".
Reliving the tragic moment, Mr Graham told Spanish cops, he screamed: "She's jumped."

Kirsty died instantly after falling from the tenth-storey suite at at the Apartamentos Payma hotel in Costa Blanca.
Spanish cops said one of the four other British men in the apartment then called for help as they saw her body lying near the pool.
CCTV footage, which has not been released, captured her landing three feet from the small swimming pool.
The unnamed police source told MailOnline: "The CCTV does not show her falling from the room but it shows her landing."
Mr Graham was questioned by Spanish police in connection with Kirsty's death on suspicion of homicide, but has since returned to the UK.
The account manager from Nottingham, insisted he is innocent in said in statement: “I have been advised by my lawyer that despite me not being charged with any wrongdoing, the investigation into this tragic accident is still ongoing.
“I am unable to say anything at this time other than that I am innocent of any wrongdoing.”

He told cops that he let Kirsty into the apartment as he partied with four pals on a birthday trip.
Mr Graham, who has been labelled an “investigado” meaning under investigation, is said to have admitted he and his friends had been drinking and taking drugs.
He also admitted he had been arrested in the UK over a sex offence allegation which never went to court.
It comes as the identity of the four other British men who were in the apartment with Mr Graham has been revealed.
Cage fighter Ricky Gammon, 31, heating engineer Callum Northridge, 27, and Daniel Bailey, 32, of Papplewick, all from Hucknall were on the trip.
Another was Anthony Holehouse, 34.
Married Kirsty was in Benidorm with 30 pals.
Cops are probing whether she fell accidentally or was pushed.
She had been on a boozy hen night and is believed to have been disorientated or may even have been sleepwalking.
Kirsty’s heartbroken husband Adam, 27, said: “I will never stop missing her”.
Grieving Adam paid a moving tribute to his “beautiful girl” as he told of his anguish over losing his “best friend and world” following her death.
He also thanked pals for raising more than £30,000 to help her body home.
He said: “I cannot thank you all enough for helping me and the family get our beautiful girl home.
“The amount of support shown is a true testament to Kirsty’s character and how many people’s lives she touched.
“I know anyone that has come into contact with Kirsty over the years would struggle not to love and adore her.
“Kirsty was my wife, my best friend and my world.
“I will never stop missing her.”
Kirsty’s family have hired a private lawyer.
Mr Graham’s lawyer, Roberto Sanchez, said: “I firmly believe in his innocence.”
