Labour’s Diane Abbott mocked mercilessly online after her car-crash interview round on police funding
The Shadow Home Secretary's appearances on LBC, Good Morning Britain and the BBC sparked a flurry of internet activity
LABOUR's Diane Abbott has been mocked mercilessly online after her disastrous round of interview today.
The Shadow Home Secretary was humiliated when she got the maths wrong on Labour's key policing policy - and suggesting paying cops just £30 per year.
This lunchtime she was forced to listen back to her mistake live on the BBC, but insists she DID know her figures and had simply "misspoke".
She first claimed it would cost £300,000 to hire the 10,000 new bobbies during an interview with LBC.
And then she said it would be £80 million – which would still mean the police officers were on just £8,000 a year.
And she went on to be humiliated by Good Morning Britain’s presenter Piers Morgan over Labour’s stance on nuclear weapons.
Twitter users were quick to call her out and make fun of her for the embarrassing appearance.

And political parties and candidates jumped on the bandwagon too...
One made a joke that the Shadow Home Secretary was actually a secret Tory...
And on Facebook, users were not keen on her appearance either.
One wrote: "Out of touch with reality - and certainly one capable of governing our great country."
Richard Simcox said: "What the hell is she doing? Does she not prepare? Has she got another migraine affecting her functioning?"
Dorinda Bailey said: "This party is full of useless twits!"
Another commented: "Stupidity and beyond!"
