Amir Khan’s wife Faryal Makhdoom tells his feuding family ‘I don’t give a s***’ as she brags ‘he comes home to me’
AMIR Khan's wife says she "doesn't give a s***" about his feuding family and bragged "he comes home to me" as her husband begged his relatives to mend the rift, it's reported.
Faryal Makhdoom has insisted their marriage is stronger than ever following her public rift with his parents - and slammed them for turning their backs on him, while the boxing star is desperate to resolve the fall-out.
The 25-year-old, who married Amir in 2013, hit the headlines last year when she accused her husband's family of "bullying" her in a series of shocking Snapchat posts.
The mum-of-one told the Daily Star Sunday: "After all the negativity and stuff Amir gets, at the end of the day he comes home to me.
"So I really don’t give a s***.
She also spoke of her regret over the situation, admitting it was something that "should have never come out to begin with" but added that it made the couple "stronger".
But Amir, from Bolton, Lancs., wants the family drama resolved and is urging his family to get together and sort out their differences.
Speaking to this newspaper earlier this week, he said: "I think the best way for this to work is both parties sit down and hopefully sit down and settle things and speak things out.
"My wife is happy to do that, it's all just petty stuff really. It was small stuff that just got big."
Amir continued: "It has been difficult but obviously it has made us stronger as a couple. I love my wife and I love my family as well but sometimes you know you have to step back and think about the situation.
"Obviously it was a little bit difficult for me because I've always been a good son to my parents and everything - it was a tough situation to be in. I love my wife and everything she has always been there for me."
Faryal said: "I think after everything Amir has been through I'm the only one still standing here - no one else is. I don't see some of his friends, I don't see some of his family members.
"So all the people who said his wife's not going to be around and his wife is after his money you know what I'm still here at the lowest point of my husbands life."
She continued: "You know what I think it was something that should have never come out to begin with. I'm a very private person when it comes to family.
"I'm not private about my life - mine and Amir's lives are out there. I like to share what I want to share.
"It is hard because sometimes you can't go back and erase your mistakes. But I felt like it had to be out because I never felt like it could have gotten better. Sometimes it does upset me but that's life."
Having been suggested as a possible entry to the Celebrity Big Brother house this summer Faryal has since revealed she will NOT be joining the show but has thanked producers for the opportunity.
She revealed: "I have been offered a lot I can't really mention which shows as I did in the past and got in trouble. But yeah I might take the opportunity when I can.
"I would like to do Big Brother one day - maybe not yet as I'm a little girl. But maybe one day."
