The Sun’s postie braves snarling 7inch Chihuahua who scared 6ft mailman… and lived to tell tale

A POSTMAN refused to deliver to a family because he was terrified of their pet Chihuahua ‘TINY’.
Mum Sarah Martin, 30, received no mail for nine days after her seven-inch high pooch frightened the postie with her yapping.
To see what made the strapping Royal Mail worker so terrified The Sun sent its own man to deliver letters in the jaws of Tiny.
I MADE a special delivery to the home where a barking Chihuahua scared away a 6ft 1ins postman and lived to tell the tale.
I was confident I could outmanoeuvre 8in tall Tiny, but couldn’t help but feel anxious as I approached the door.
Her yapping was echoing on the other side of the letterbox.
I posted the mail but as I turned, the door opened and Tiny flew out.
I bolted for the gate with my ferocious foe snapping at my heels. It turned out Tiny just wanted a sniff.
The Sun told yesterday how the postman felt intimidated by Tiny after she got out of the house and barked at him.
The postie, believed to be in his 40s, stopped delivering to owner Sarah Martin’s home in Daventry, Northants.
Sarah, 30, had no mail for nine days until she put a postbox on a fence.
