SIR Alex Ferguson’s personal company made more than £6million in profits last year.
The former Manchester United boss raked it in from books, appearances and public speeches.
ACF (Alexander Chapman Ferguson) Sports Promotions accounts show it had total assets of £15,229,080 for the year up to June 30, 2016.
That included investments of £13million, a £676,000 property and money in the bank.
After paying creditors, it declared profits for the year of £6,279,868 — up £1.1million on the previous year’s £5,154,801.
Fergie, 75, gets £2million for 20 days a year as a United ambassador and £100,000 for speeches.
He has said:”I work hard. It’s a different type of work – I’ve got my ambassadorial role with UNICEF, I’m part of the coaching institution at UEFA, I have a faculty at Harvard University and I’m a director of Manchester United – so pretty busy.
“Being at the club for 26-and-a-half years, I just didn’t want to wipe it out of my life.
“So when they made me a director and an ambassador, I thought that was the perfect position to be in, watching the team, enjoying it and travelling with them at times.
“When I decided to retire I was going to make sure I wasn’t going to sit and watch television, I was going to get out and take another part of my life.
“I miss the big games, of course, but I made my decision and I’m enjoying it.”
