Tories re-hire Jim Messina, Obama strategy man behind Cam’s 2010 win, for snap poll campaign

Messina helped secure shock win in 2015, but had his copybook blotted by Brexit defeat

Theresa May has hired Jim Messina to work on her campaign for the impending general election

Jim Messina also played a key role in Barack Obama‘s 2008 presidency campaign and later became his Deputy Chief of Staff.

The polling and strategy guru was a key figure in the , prompting one Brexit backing Tory MP hit out last night: “Messina is not the Messiah.”
