OUSTED Reform MP Rupert Lowe last night threatened legal action against the party for making “falsehoods” against him.

He said the allegations against him amounted to a “vindictive witch hunt” because he asked “awkward questions” of Nigel Farage.

But the KC appointed by Reform UK to investigate bullying allegations against Mr Lowe has rejected his claim she was "shocked" by the party's handling of his suspension, insisting she has not made any comment expressing “dismay” or “shock” about the investigation process.

The Greater Yarmouth MP had the whip removed last week after Reform bosses accused him of bullying female staff and making violent threats against the party chairman.

Mr Lowe has denied all the accusations and claimed they are retaliatory smears for his criticism of Mr Farage’s leadership.

The civil war escalated yesterday as Mr Lowe issued a blow-by-blow rebuke to each of Reform’s charges.

He said: “All of this, and more, is with my legal team. I will not tolerate these falsehoods.

“It is a vindictive witch hunt, all because I asked awkward questions of Nigel.”

Mr Lowe even said that Reform bosses were unhappy he had been so outspoken on illegal migration.

A Reform spokesman said: “Rupert was informed of the independent investigation on the 28th of Feb. His interview in the Mail appeared seven days later on 5th of March.”

Yesterday deputy leader insisted it was pure “coincidence” Mr Lowe was expelled the day after he slammed Mr Farage’s “Messianic” complex.

He told Sky News: “We’ve also got a duty of care as a party, whether people are employed directly or indirectly.

“So, that’s why the chairman has instructed an independent investigation by a KC, that’s the right and proper thing to do. That will run its course.

“But imagine if we hadn’t been open and transparent about this. Imagine if we’d tried to brush it under the carpet and in some way cover it up, and then it came out at a future time. Everyone would have been raging.”

Some laughed at Farage but he’s got the Tories where he wants them & could be PM
