You’ll never guess why this Russian beauty queen was stripped of the title after winning lingerie contest…
Anthony Nagorny dressed as a woman so well he won a beauty contest - only for his title to be taken away
A BLOKE who won a beauty contest after his girlfriend helped him transform into a woman has had his title stripped after organisers found out he was really a man.
Anthony Nagorny, 20, won first prize after he wooed judges of the women's beauty competition in the Russian city of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
Anthony, a student at Sakhalin University, entered the online contest, run by a local chain of lingerie stores, under the alias of Ms Avocado.
The task asked female participants to send in the best pictures of themselves in underwear.
Anthony's girlfriend, whose has not been named, apparently helped him with his transformation by working on his hair and make-up before he put on some of her sexiest underwear to pose for competition pictures.
But when the judges realised the award was presented to a man - they changed their verdict.
The prize was a photo shoot with a professional photographer, which the judges withdrew after finding out the truth.
Lingerie firm manager Zhanna Stolpovskaya said: "This boy looked very much like a girl. As pics were free to upload, he decided to participate too."
The winning prize will now be given to three female contestants to share.
Anthony's photographs have become an internet sensation after they were shared on social media.
One user wrote: "Idiots. Now he can easily sue them for gender discrimination. And you might have thought that only women get discriminated."
Another added: "They are so full of sh*t. Why wouldn’t they announce gender requirements from the very start? Or give the main prize to the owner of the chain."
It is not clear why Anthony decided to dress up as a woman and enter the online beauty contest.
The lingerie firm who held the competition has not been named.
