A COMICAL mid-air collision saw a pelican fly into a drone while it was hovering over a beach in Jamaica.

The funny video was posted online by the drone’s owner who claimed the large bird attacked his airborne craft.

The clip sees the drone flying over holidaymakers enjoying the golden sands of the Caribbean before a bird appears in the distance.

It begins to fly closer and closer to the drone before colliding with it in mid-air above Seven Mile Beach in Negril.

The drone then plummets towards the ground but fortunately the pilot manages to regain control before it crashes and just in time to catch a glimpse of the pelican flying off.

The cameraman, identified only as Corbs, said: “It seems as if the pelican flew towards the drone and attacked it.

“After the pelican made contact with the drone it fell to the ground and I was lucky to get it back.

“I thank God I did because I got a pretty good video.”
