Mystery as young woman carrying red handbag found dead at bottom of cliffs in UK seaside holiday hot spot
MYSTERY swirls around the body of a young woman carrying a red handbag after she was found dead at the bottom of a cliff.
Cops are appealing for witnesses after a woman’s body was located in Cornwall on Saturday.
The body was spotted by onlookers who alerted authorities at 2.55pm.
Both the Coastguard and ambulance services rushed to the scene and the body of the woman, believed to be in her late teens or early 20s, was picked up by a lifeboat.
Cops have said she has not yet been identified and is described as a slim and white with dark hair.
She was dressed entirely in black including her shoes, black trousers, a top and a lightweight coat, except a red handbag.

Her death is being treated "unexplained" and not "not believed to be suspicious."
The force is urging anyone who has any information about the woman or who may have witnessed a woman at the cliffs at this time to get in contact.
Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Officers were called at 2.55pm on Saturday 8 February following reports of a body being located at the bottom of cliffs in Porthtowan.
"The ambulance service and Coastguard were both also called.
