ONE in four people in the UK will be a migrant within a decade, a study claims.

The migration crisis will cost taxpayers £234billion — or £8,200 extra in taxes for every household, another study finds.

Tory leader Kemi Badenoch slammed the stats and called for an end to the “conveyor belt to a precious British passport”.

She said: “The country can’t afford the Labour Party’s lax approach to immigration.”

A report by the Centre for Migration Control found one in four living in the UK by 2035 will be a migrant.

The population will balloon to 75.36million by 2035, according to the Office for National Statistics.

The CMC estimates this will include 18.2million born abroad.

They got to this number by using ONS figures to estimate how many foreign-born people will move here and how many will leave or die.

Meanwhile, research by the Centre for Policy Studies shows up to two million migrants will be eligible for residency rights known as indefinite leave to remain.

The CPS says it will cost the economy £234billion — based on its estimate of 801,000 gaining the status.

This is the equivalent of £8,200 for every household across several decades, the think-tank adds.

The CMC’s Robert Bates said: “The stresses mass migration places on public services are undeniable.”
