Boy, 10, approached by man in the street in terrifying attempted abduction as cops launch desperate probe
A MAN has approached a ten-year-old boy and attempted to abduct him in the middle of a city.
Cops were called to the junction of Olympic Boulevard, Via Urbis Romane and Flame Way, in Colchester, Essex.
The boy was reportedly approached by an adult man at around 8.10am on Thursday.
The suspect is said to have fled the scene in a dark green car.
The boy was not injured or harmed during the attempted abduction.
The force are appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "We were called with reports a man had approached a 10-year-old boy at the junction of Olympic Boulevard, Via Urbis Romane and Flame Way at about 8.10am yesterday, Thursday 6 February.
"The boy left the junction and told an adult and the suspect left the scene, reportedly in a dark green car.
"Our investigation is underway, and our officers will be in this area of Colchester carrying out further enquiries, so please approach us if you have information you think may help us.
"We are appealing for anyone in the area with doorbell or dashcam footage at the time of the incident to get in touch quoting investigation number 42/16971/25."
