Horrific footage of the event shows several passengers forcibly holding the man down as he is spread across multiple seats.

The people grappling him appear to be physically struggling to control the crazy flyer who is seen violently writhing and squirming.

One man has to hold the suspect's head down as he shakes it from side to side, trying to free himself.

Whilst this chaos is ensuing, his hands are tied behind his back with shoelaces in a makeshift method to restrain the unpredictable passenger.

The tied man allegedly began punching the seat in front of him before cracking a window with his foot.

Pictures of the aftermath show the window with more than one huge crack stretching both the length and width of it.

The area around it is also damaged, and shoe scuff marks can be seen.

Whilst the destruction was being caused, nearby passengers were fleeing to safety to escape the man.

Victoria Clark, who was sitting in the seat in front of him, said: “The flight attendants, they just disappeared – they went to go ask for help but I don’t know where they went at the time.

“It’s just me and this man and I start freaking out, having a panic attack.

"Tears, I start screaming for help 'somebody come help us, I’m scared.'"

Victoria, who was flying with her three-year-old, was forced to change seats to escape the potential threat.

It was at this point that the man started to kick the window.

Six men were necessary to hold the manic man down, and he remained in his cuffs for the remainder of the hour-and-a-half flight.

Victoria's fiancée was among the group who captured him.

Police detained the man and escorted him off the plane when the flight landed at Bush Intercontinental Airport at 11:10p.m.

As he was escorted away, he could be seen restrained to a wheelchair.

The damage to the window did not pose a threat to the safety of the plane, and it was able to finish its journey without issue.

It is not currently known what the motive was behind the man's outburst.
