Paramedic, 27, died just weeks after brain tumour diagnosis as tributes paid to ‘source of strength and comfort’
A FRIEND of a young paramedic who died just weeks after she was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour has paid tribute to her "role model" colleague.
Megan Lines, 27, who was a "source of strength and comfort," tragically died on December 15 after her diagnosis.
Devastated family and friends have paid tribute to Megan, from Dereham, using a memorial website saying she "will always be remembered."
The funeral took place at Breckland Crematorium, Norwich, last month.
Thousands of pounds have been raised in memory of the young paramedic following her death.
Almost £4,000 was raised for the British Heart Foundation and the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

A group of four of Megan's friends have admirably organised a fundraiser called for the charity Brainstrust.
Together they have raised more than 70 per cent of their impressive £3,000 target.
They will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April in memory of their friend.
Emily Storey, the fundraiser organiser, posted on JustGiving: "Megan was more than just my friend— she was a colleague, role model and someone I was so proud to stand beside as we graduated from university as paramedics last year.

“Becoming a paramedic was her dream, and she worked tirelessly to achieve it. Megan dedicated herself to helping others, always putting their needs first, and it breaks my heart that such a bright future was taken from her far too soon.
“The half marathon will be a challenge, but Megan’s strength, kindness, and determination will inspire all of us every step of the way. As a runner herself, we’re hoping to make her proud and turn such devastation into a positive opportunity to share her story and raise awareness for such a vital cause.
“Having got the privilege to get to know her family, we’re running to ensure fewer families face the pain of losing someone like Megan.
“Prior to Meg’s illness, like most we were all unaware of the mass scale devastation brain tumours cause, it never really hits home until you’re the one writing these posts.
“If we achieve anything from this we hope to share that life is too short and you never know what is around the corner.
“Megan’s life was dedicated to helping others, and now we can carry that legacy forward.”
Other friends of Meg shared their heartfelt tributes on the JustGiving page, praising Emily for starting the fundraiser.
