Trump’s ban on trans women in female sport restores fairness & common sense – the Left can tantrum all they want

AS US President Donald Trump signs an executive order banning men from competing in female sports categories, leftists are having one hell of a tantrum.

Social media is awash with the claim that “trans women” have been banned from competing in sports with “other women”.

This is a complete fabrication. Men have been excluded from women’s sports, just as they have been ever since female-only sports were created.

This order restores fairness and common sense.

Women compelled to play against men in boxing matches, wrestling, and rugby have been injured – which is precisely why we have single-sex sports. The order will protect girls and women, allowing them to compete against other females fair and square.

Because men have significant advantages over women in terms of strength, lung capacity and overall physique, allowing them to compete against females can only mark the beginning of the end of women’s sports.

Those on the left are angry and disgusted at Trump’s election and subsequent announcements, but it must be acknowledged that they helped this to happen.

It's an absolute disgrace that leftists have, in the name of “transgender rights”, betrayed their own principles of equality and fairness by campaigning against the rights of women.

Joe Biden, Trump’s predecessor, pledged to veto any legislation barring biological males from female sport if it ever reached his desk.

Yet this should never have been a political issue.

In the UK, we have rights enshrined in laws such as the 2010 Equality Act – which feminists fought for in order to maintain and protect single-sex spaces and facilities.

In March 2022, American swimmer Lia Thomas, a biological male, became the first trans-identified athlete to be crowned National Collegiate Athletic Association champion,  the 500-yard freestyle in Georgia, US.

Having spent all of his 20 years as a male, Thomas started competing against women in swimming just one year before this. In 2018-19, Thomas had ranked 554th.

Imagine a girl athlete who has trained hard all her life, and through obsessive hard work and dedication, reaches the top of her game, and is ranked number one in the world. In walks a male who identifies as female and takes first prize.

This is why Trump is being lauded, by even women on the left.

The “No Men in Women’s Sports Executive Order” should be welcomed by everyone, whoever the architect is.

Had trans activists not demanded wholly unreasonable ‘rights’ for themselves, there would never have been any need for this executive order to be signed.

They have only themselves to blame.
