ROWDY Leicester City fans taunted Atletico Madrid supporters and clashed with cops before last night's 1-0 Champions League defeat in the Spanish capital.
Footage has emerged showing some supporters chanting "you Spanish b*******, Gibraltar is ours" while smoke bombs and flares were let off in a litter-strewn square.
Officers dressed in riot gear, wearing helmets and wielding batons, charged at fans who had travelled to the Spanish capital for the Foxes' crunch quarter-final clash with Spanish giants Atletico.
And things only got worse for the Midlanders when Antoine Griezmann's disputed penalty gave the hosts a 1-0 lead going into the second leg in Leicester.
One video shows a gang of riot police charging towards an unsuspecting man at a bar before shoving him to the floor.
Aimee Evans, who filmed the footage, claims she was hit "absolutely out of nowhere" just minutes later.
A photograph on Twitter shows a man with a blood-stained face and a bandage wrapped around his head.
Around 4,000 Leicester City fans are said to have made their way to Madrid - though the club only has only allocated 1,600 official tickets.
A LEICESTER City fan has described the moment she was allegedly beaten by Spanish cops ahead of the side's Champions League match on Wednesday night.
Aimee Evans, 23, travelled with Madrid with dad Gary, 53, to watch her beloved team play abroad for the first time.
She was sitting outside the front of a cafe at around 1.30pm while her dad went to the toilet before a flare went off and police swooped on the square.
Aimee, from Norfolk, said she stayed at her table and began filming the drama and captured the moment an officer shoved another fan to the floor.
She claims that moments later the cop turned on her and hit her across the arm.
Aimee said: "I tried to get into the restaurant where my dad had gone by the shutters were locked.
"The police came after me again and hit me across my legs.
"Then they opened the shutters and let me downstairs.
"I found my dad and we went out the back way.
"My dad approached a policeman asking if he spoke English and he hit my dad and I across the stomach and arms until some other fans came up and defended us."
Aimee, who has held a season ticket for eight years, said they were both treated by paramedics and despite sustaining bruised ribs and cuts they are doing ok.
She said they had both been "really excited to come" and have continued to enjoy themselves despite the incident.
The supporters made the most of the sunshine and bars in the city centre before becoming rowdy and heavy-handed officers were forced to step-in.
Blue smoke bombs and other objects were thrown at cops while fans were heard chanting "you Spanish b*******, Gibraltar is ours."
It comes amid heightened tensions between the UK and Spain over the disputed status of Gibraltar, which was ceded to Britain in 1713, ahead of Brexit negotiations.
Spanish media reported that three fans and two police officers sustained minor injuries in the clash.
Problems also broke out in the Plaza Mayor, where eight Leicester supporters were arrested for public disorder.
Authorities said fans disrespected officers and caused problems at a major Madrid plaza late on Tuesday.
The confrontation occurred at the Plaza Mayor, at 10pm local time.
"Eight hooligans were arrested for public disorder and vandalism," a police spokesperson told AFP.
Videos showed riot police charging at the Leicester fans, who had gathered to drink in the plaza's various bars and restaurants, a spot often invaded by travelling fans for Champions League matches.
"There was a group of 70 hooligans when the police charged," said a spokesperson for the municipal emergency services.
"On the ground we attended five people, three police officers and two English ultras for cuts and bruises, but nobody was taken to hospital."
The police source said the intervention was caused by Leicester fans "throwing bottles at the police."
The historic match was the Foxes' first in the last eight of Europe's top club competition.
Craig Shakespeare's men remain English football's sole representatives in the knockout stages.
They fought back against Sevilla in the round of 16 where they were trailing 2-1 from the first leg, only to win 2-0 at the King Power Stadium thanks to goals from Wes Morgan and Marc Albrighton.
Since Claudio Ranieri was sacked after the away defeat at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, the Foxes have won six out of their last seven games.
At least four Leicester fans were also arrested in February after the team lost its first leg match against Seville 2-1.
Spanish website reported cops detained the supporters for "attacking and injuring police" in the Spanish city.
A video posted from the scene appeared to show police charging at Leicester fans after they refused to move off a street.
Another video also showed the team's fans serenading an elderly woman as she danced in public.
