Urgent search for missing schoolgirl, 15, who suddenly disappeared after being last seen on ‘notoriously dangerous’ road

AN URGENT search has been launched for a missing girl who vanished after last being seen on a "notoriously dangerous" road.

Leyla Marczyk was last seen in the Luton Road area, in Chatham, Kent. at 9pm on Saturday.

The 15 year old, from Chatham, has been described as around 5ft 1in tall with dark brown hair and brown eyes.

It is believed she was wearing a beige top with a black jacket, beige suede boots and light brown trousers when she vanished.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: "Anyone with information on her whereabouts should contact Kent Police on 999 quoting reference 18-1218."

Chatham's Luton Road has become known as one of the most notorious areas in the county after making headlines for several shocking crimes.

Residents have previously shared horror stories of kids from the age of 12 selling drugs on the streets.

In another incident a local fish and chip shop owner was stabbed in an attempted robbery.

It is recognised as an anti-social behaviour "hotspot", as reported by the , and regarded as one of the most deprived areas in the UK.

Buses have even had to avoid the road in recent years after thugs targeted them with bricks.
